Yagazie Akwada serves as a Technical Assistance Coach/Analyst at Zane Networks, where she plays a key role in supporting the CDC’s Data Modernization Initiative. The focus lies in enhancing data exchange between healthcare providers and public health agencies, and as she assists in efforts in implementing health IT standards while ensuring compliance with emerging regulations like HL7, TEFCA etc. With a strong background in health informatics, Yagazie and the team works closely with state and local health agencies to optimize electronic case reporting systems.
Yagazie holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics and Data Science from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from George Mason University. Her work spans digital health innovation, predictive analytics, and health equity. Her passion for leveraging data to reduce health disparities drives her to develop innovative solutions that improve healthcare delivery and outcomes, especially for underserved communities.
